Michael F. Steger
Michael F. Steger is an author, public speaker, professor of psychology, and founder and director of the Center for Meaning and Purpose[1] at Colorado State University.[2] His research focuses on the topics of meaning and purpose in life[3][4] and meaningful work.[5][6] He developed the widely used psychological measures the Meaning in Life Questionnaire[7] and the Work and Meaning Inventory.[8]
Steger received his PhD with specializations in Counseling Psychology and Personality Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2005.
Steger has published three books,[9][10][11] more than 100 peer-reviewed scholarly works,[12] and given more than 200 talks and presentations to national and international audiences.[13] Steger has given a TEDx talk[14] and writes a blog for Psychology Today.[13] He is a member of the Board of Directors for the International Positive Psychology Association.[15]
