Michael Haft is an American businessman, author, and former United States Marine Corps officer. He co-founded Compass Coffee in 2014.[1]

Early Life & Career

Haft was born in 1986 in Washington, D.C.. He went on to attend Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship in 2009.[2]

After attending Washington University in St. Louis, Haft was commissioned as a United States Marine Corps Officer before founding his own coffee business.[3][4]

After writing the book, Perfect Coffee at Home, Haft and Suarez settled on starting a coffee roasting company. Haft co-founded Compass Coffee in 2014 alongside Harrison Suarez.[5][6]

Awards

Haft received the DC Chamber of Commerce's Community Impact Award in 2017.[7]
