Early Life[edit]
Michael Reis spent his early adulthood reselling antiques through his first business, Trader Mikes Antique Store, in McDonald Pennsylvania. In addition, Michael Reis also performed stand-up comedy, was on STAR 100.7 Pittsburgh as a psychic entertainer, and operated a fugitive recovery business called RR Recovery in the greater Pittsburgh area.
Career[edit]
Michael Reis started his business in real-estate after buying an apartment building in McDonald, Pennsylvania in 2013. After selling the building, Michael planned to continue in real-estate. He encountered issues in late 2013 when he attempted to flip a home in California and again in 2014 when he attempted to remodel a building in Manhattan, New York. After returning to Pennsylvania, Michael Reis focused his real-estate efforts on buying and selling single-family homes in suburban areas and became successful through this model. After a strategic investment in a local real-estate brokerage, Michael continued investing in private equity and moved away from real-estate flipping.
After investing in both the pharmaceutical and entertainment markets, Michael Reis had expanded his network largely enough to enter the world of business consulting. Along with his partners Matthias Kottmeier (Kottio Productions), Carson Chura (Kottio Productions), and Gabe Gorman (Kottio Consulting), Michael began consulting for technology based startups such as Manna Wholesale and Elite Luxury.
Today, Michael Reis sits on executive boards of over a dozen small businesses and startups. His firms Kottio Consulting and Kottio Productions continue to make private equity investments into technology based businesses within the United States and Canada.
Personal Life[edit]
Michael Reis was born May 13th 1994 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to Laurie and Michael Reis (senior). He attended Borland Manor Elementary School and Canonsburg Middle School and graduated from Canon McMillan High School. During his high-school education he met his current wife, Samantha Reis with whom he resides in the greater Pittsburgh area. Michael's father was a service-based entreprenur in the masonry industry and his mother was a pediatric psychologist. Michael Reis attending LaRoche University and studied business, but dropped out of classes in early 2013 due to poor grades and attendance.
