Michael Robert Williams (Photographer) Michael Robert Williams is a British portrait, music, and celebrity photographer. Williams grew up in Congleton, in Cheshire, UK. After completing a Photography Degree at University Williams moved to London to start his career. His photography work began mainly in music, starting out at magazines DIW, and Filter (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filter_(magazine)). He has since photographed many bands and celebrities including Nicholas Hoult, Bernardo Bertolucci, The Killers, Oasis, Biffy Clyro, Blur, Interpol, Kasabian, Ian Brown, and Modest Mouse. Wiliams has expressed an interest in directing music videos and film (Interviewed for Digital Photographer Magazine, Issue 95) Williams lists some of the photographers he admires as Albert Watson, Robert Frank, Helmut Newton, Anton Corbijn (Interviewed in Digital SLR User Magazine August 2010).
