Michaelsoft Binbows was a store in Japan that sold used PCs and parts. The name of the store is a pun as the word 'Binbo' means poor in Japanese and also rhymes with Windows.
History

The store opened in 1997 and sold used PCs. Not much is known about the store in this period and only two images of the store exist. The store closed in 2002 according to Alf's Room[2]
Memes/In popular Culture
In 2007, the now defunct shop became a subject of meme culture due to the name of the building mimicking the name 'Microsoft Windows'. The meme received revival in 2021 when Youtuber Nick Robinson uploaded a video talking about Michaelsoft Binbows and even managed to find the exact location of the store. [3]
