Michelle Altanpurev (Mongolian Cyrillic: Мишээл Алтанпүрэв; born March 16, 2001) is a Mongolian TV hostess, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who won Little Miss Eco Mongolia and Little Miss Photogenic Mongolia in 2015. She began her TV hosting career at the age of 9 in the children TV show Nakhia under SBN TV Mongolia.[1] For her notable works, she was twice nominated for the Nakhia Kids Choice Awards [2] for Teen Star.
Early life
Michelle Altanpurev was born in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Altanpurev.O and Nomin.Z; she has a younger sister, Udval. In 2010, she auditioned for the SBN TV Nakhia's hostess audition and made it through among hundreds of participants.
Career
2010-present: Rising popularity
As a hostess
After she became a hostess, she hosted several famous children TV shows, such as: "Briefly" a.k.a "Tovchkhondoo", "Dem demendee" , "Khagarkhai Khengereg", and "Funny English". Usually her shows are edutainment. "Briefly" is her first very own TV show in her career and it gives interesting facts about surrounding things and science. "Dem demendee" was a live TV show, which helps children to exchange their needs. "Khangarkhai Khengereg" was an edutainment TV show, which consisted of parts: "Photo News", "Video News", and "Zodiac News". "Funny English" was an edutainment TV shows, which the hosts travel around the capital city and do fun things while teaching English. After she did her new episode of the "Funny English" in the "Space Museum of Mongolia", over eleven thousand children went to see the museum and made the museum even more popular. She was once a photo model of Benetton Group Mongolia, and a face of "MaxMall Berlin Burger" and "Fashion Kids". Michelle also hosted plenty of events of "Naran Brand".

She competed in the "Little Miss Mongolia 2015". With her powerful speech "It starts with you" in English, she won the title of "Little Miss Eco Mongolia 2015". Michelle then was crowned "Little Miss Photogenic 2015" with her shot photos.
As an actress
Michelle appeared in several short films, commercials and music videos. Michelle played the role of daughter in the short film, "Silence", which was made for the 48 Hour Film Project. Her team, AMB, won the best directed film award. She also played the lead role of TV special short film, "Naadmyn Khuushuur", which was aired on the MNB (TV channel).
Other works
Michelle is interested in Martial Arts, specially Kickboxing. She is a gold medalist of Mongolian Youth Kickboxing Championship 2016 Full Contact -38 kg. Michelle also plays the Mongolian national musical instrument Morin khuur.
