Mickey D. Markoff is the Executive Producer of the Air and Sea Show in South Florida. He is also President of MDM Group, an innovative firm which develops effective multidimensional marketing campaigns. Mickey Markoff is currently Executive Producer of the Hyundai Air & Sea Show, a National Salute to America's Heroes. The Air and Sea Show has had several sponsors since its inception; however, Hyundai has remained the main sponsor, illustrating their dedication to paying tribute to our nation’s heroes. The history of the Air and Sea Show started in Chicago, where Mickey Markoff introduced the concept of public-private sponsorships to the Lakeshore Air and Water Show. He introduced the concept to the South Florida market in 1995, including well-known brands such as McDonald’s, where he has since been producing the annual Air and Sea Show during Memorial Day weekend. Venues for the location have varied, from Fort Lauderdale, to the current location of Miami Beach.
Mr. Markoff’s keen insight into consumer preferences matched with his understanding of corporate marketing and social responsibility has proven to be a winning combination. Companies such as McDonald’s, Coca–Cola, as well as the United States Department of Defense and the United States Air Force, can attest to his outstanding reputation.
Mickey Markoff is dedicated to paying homage to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our nation's freedom, as illustrated in the mission behind the Air and Sea Shows. He has spoken at length with the Dixon Center on their 'Service Before Self' podcast [2] on the importance of bringing back the true spirit of Memorial Day. The Air and Sea Show remains one of the largest Memorial Day weekend events nationwide. The event serves to educate and entertain, illustrating the wide array of opportunities that exist within the U.S. armed forces.
Committed to raising awareness of our nation's heroes, Mickey Markoff continues to dedicate his life to this pursuit in his work producing the Hyundai Air and Sea Show, A National Salute to America's Heroes. The 2021 event was a success, despite being cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic . The event was pivoted to honor the frontline workers and first responders helping to fight the pandemic. The 2023 Hyundai Air and Show introduced the inaugural U.S. Army SaluteFest, which showcased the latest Army innovations, a 500-piece drone show, and fireworks display. SaluteFest also featured performances by NATTI NATASHA, Chris Janson, BRELAND and Jvke.
Passionate about aviation, Markoff provides access to air and sea craft data in the Miami-Dade area.
