Mickie McGowan (born Maryanne Tonia McGowan[1] January 2, 1938) is an American voice actress, casting agent and sounds effect director,[2] known for providing several additional and minor voices in numerous Disney, Don Bluth's, DreamWorks and Pixar animated films and television series.[3]
Life and career[edit]
McGowan was born on January 2, 1938 in Culver City, California. Her father was American screenwriter and film director Robert A. McGowan.[4] She started her career in 1984[5] in animated series SuperFriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show (1984–1985). Later she appeared in a large number of Disney animated films[6] providing many additional[7] and minor character such as The Little Mermaid (1989), The Rescues Down Under (1990), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Hunchback of Notre Dame[8] (1996), Hercules (1997), Tarzan (1999), The Emperor's New Groove (2000), Lilo & Stitch (2002), Home on the Range (2004) and many more. Outside of Disney, she has contributed as ADR[9] voiceover[10] or crewmember in animated features Minions (2015), The Lorax (2012), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009), All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989), Horton Hears a Who? (2008) and Monster University (2013).[11][12]
