MicroPets is software developing company, launched on October 2021. The MicroPets token is called $Pets and is the native cryptocurrency of the platform, working under the Binance Smart Chain contract.[1].
The main development team is made up by Saint Nick, as they called themselves, on their own website[2], CEO of the company and working on cryptocurrency since 2017; Ryan (CMO), working on the project since 2021, and Malek (Community Manager).
This ecosystem took advantage of the dog’s memes that has been popular in the crypto world[3], creating 3D NFTs of these trendy dogs like: Shiba Inu, Doge, Akita Inu, to name a few, that you can get, collect and stake for rewards under their platform.
$Pets Token[edit]
PETS token is the native cryptocurrency of the MicroPets ecosystem and is ranked #1388 on CoinMarketCap[4]
Buy and sell taxes are 2% for liquidity pool and 5% for marketing and Buyback, according to their Whitepaper[2]. Having portions of each transaction added to liquidity ensures less price volatility whereas the manual buyback is used to create bullish momentum or defend key support areas.
2D NFTs[edit]
MicroPets has created a limited-edition MicroPets 2D NFT collection that encompass 10,000 NFT’s, each with different attributes and backgrounds. The team has custom-built a smart contract to handle all of the randomization and NFT generations. Also they has committed to donate $100,000 to charity upon reaching the 50% sold milestone of this collection[5]
3D NFTs[edit]
Collectible NFTs have taken off in 2021, including for use as characters in games like Axie Infinity and Sandbox. MicroPets joined the space in October 2021, introducing its NFT characters ahead of the planned launch of its game metaverse on 2022.
MicroPets created animated NFTs, called 3D NFTs, of dog characters used in cryptocurrency memes, including Shiba Inu, Akita Inu and Floki Inu. The concept plays on the popularity of those coins, which use images of dogs as their logos. They has partnered with Cubix, a blockchain gaming app development company[6], to build an ecosystem for the characters[7]. The NFTs run on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and can be traded or staked.
How's It Work?[edit]
The team has built a custom dApp. Users go onto the dApp and get a crate with their MicroPets tokens ($Pets). Opening their crate, they receive a random NFT with various rarity and staking rewards. Users can then stake the pet for MicroPets rewards proportional to their pet's staking multiplier. If users don't receive the pet they have the option of putting trade it to others in the MicroPets marketplace[8]
MicroPets Runner Game (P2E Game)[edit]
MicroPets Runner is a classic side-scrolling runner game wherein game users will use their game character (a MicroPets 3DNFT ) to pick up coins (to earn rewards) on their way past monsters and obstacles as they advance along a map[9]
The game as developed by Cubix, a software and mobile app development, founded in 2008, and worked with companies like Walmart, DreamWorks, Tissot and more[10]
The developers released a preview of the game on 1 December, tweeting that “MicroPets Runner will have six unique environments on launch, each with their own unique obstacles”[7].
MicroPets Runner game was finally launched released to public on 13th April 2022, doing a worldwide marketing campaign, especially in Latin-American media[11][12][13] having the support of the Latin Actor Jessus Zambrano as their LATAM Marketing Manager[14]. And it’s available for download on Google Play and App Store. It is the only active P2E game on the App Store[15]
Players are challenged through six different maps as and collect coins. Also included are several power ups to make it less difficult. Users earn coins while playing the game, but can only claim those rewards by having a real MicroPet.[9]

The community of MicroPets has been expanded since they release it in October 2021, with an estimate of over 66.000 holders according to BscScan[16], a Twitter followers (@micropetsbsc) of over 28.000 and a telegram channel with over 15.000 members.
