Microgeomatics

Microgeomatics is the use of various approaches and techniques of location in closed spaces. It relies on geomatics know-how of data storage, analysis, and spatial information gathering and communication, but takes the field to smaller levels, analyzing the position awareness of a building, for example. When applied with other information-gathering technologies, it can be used for workforce trend monitoring or shopping management, among other applications. The field is still fairly new.
