Migasfree is an open source configuration management.[1]
Origin
Migasfree was created by Alberto Gacías in 2010. It was used for the first time at Zaragoza City Council (Spain) in the project migration to open source software for desktops with AZLinux[2] distribution. It is written in Django and Python and released as free software under the GPL.
Purpose
The main target of Migasfree is to preserve the integrity of changes.[3]
Overview
Migasfree is based on the client-server model and is designed to change the software configuration with the package manager of Linux systems. It creates packages' repositories and controls the release with schedules based on attributes of users and machines.[4]
Migasfree centrally stores the software and hardware inventory as well as the errors produced in the package manager. It also has a system to detect faults on the clients' computers.[5]
