Miguel Alvarez
Miguel Angel Alvarez Sr (born February 25, 1973 in Venezuela) is a MLB sports agent and a business owner. Throughout his career, Alvarez has represented professional baseball clients, including Miguel Sano, Miguel Cabrera, Maikel Franco, Luis Severino. Mr. Alvarez has been active as an agent since 2014, and within just one year he broke a record for the highest signing bonus ($8 million when negotiating the contract for Yoan Lopez with the Arizona D-Backs).[1]
Miguel Ángel Alvarez Sr. is also the founder and owner of Fulfillment Resource Inc., located in Texas USA.
Early life and education
Miguel Ángel Alvarez was born in Lara, Venezuela as the son of educators. As a teenager, he immigrated to the USA. He attended Quincy College in Massachusetts, Phoenix University and later the University of Texas. In college, he achieved a 3.8 Grade Point Average. Alvarez became an elite competitor in both swimming and baseball.
Business
After his years in college, Alvarez started a Fulfillment Company out of Texas. The business quickly became a Xerox Corp preferred business vendor, handling most of the manual fulfillment work for high profile accounts like Intel, FEMA, TIAA, Blue Cross, Aetna, McGraw Hill, IBC, Intec, Thomson, and Genworth.
Personal Life
Miguel Ángel Alvarez lives in Dallas, Texas. Married to Maria Isabel. Miguel has a son Miguel Jr, and daughters Leslie, and Mia.
