Miguel Heberto Elizalde Lizarraga (born February 17, 1973) is a Mexican engineer. He is the current Executive President of the National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor Producers (ANPACT).[1][2][3]

He is a Board Member of the National Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN) and Promotion Coordinator and founder of the Mexican Association of Mobility Authorities (AMAM).[4] [5]

Early life and education

Elizalde was born on February 17, 1973, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He graduated with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Sonora Norte in 1997. Four years later, in 2001, he obtained a master's degree in Public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University in New York State, where he remains as a Graduate Alumni Ambassador.[6][7][8]

Professional career

Elizalde has worked in the private sector as a researcher, professor, and consultant in various institutions such as Concert, Resources, Allies and Partners, and the National Interstate Gas Association of America (INGAA).[9]

Elizalde served in the General Directorate of Planning and Monitoring of the Sonora Tourism Promotion Commission in Mexico. In 2007 he joined the federal public administration when he served as Deputy Director of Control of the concessioned and Contracted Network of Federal Roads and Bridges and Related Services, CAPUFE[10] [11]

Subsequently, in 2008 he was appointed Coordinator of Transportation United States - Mexico, and in March 2009 as Federal Motor Carrier Administrator of the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (Mexico)[12]. In August 2012 he was designated Executive President of the National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor Producers (ANPACT).[13][14]

From March 2017 to 2018 Elizalde was appointed President of the Transportation Commission of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers of the United Mexican States (CONCAMIN), replacing José Luis Fuente Pochat in the position.[15] In 2017 he was a key advisor for transportation subjects of the Stakeholders room supporting the Mexican government in the USMCA negotiation.[2]
