Sean William Michael Heaton (born 18 September 1967) is an English musician, best known as the drummer for the band Embrace.[1]

Heaton joined Embrace in 1992 on drums after the founding members of Embrace, brothers Danny McNamara and Richard McNamara advertised for a drummer to join them.

He is a Director at Code Drum Heads who provide drum skins and other associated products to other professionals and a Director at Drum-Ed, an online drum education and lessons provider[2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

Heaton is also a founding member and drummer/backing vocalist of Land Sharks, a Huddersfield based band formed in 2018. The band also features Embrace bassist Steve Firth.[10] [4] [11]

Heaton is an ambassador for Martin House Hospice, a charity whose aim is to provide family led care for children with life shortening conditions.[12] [13] and organises Centre Stage, a contest for young bands aimed at raising money for Martin House Children's Hospice where the winner gets to play Leeds Festival and Reading Festival. [14] [15] [16] He has also played on a charity single with Richard McNamara and Mickey Dale also of Embrace, along with Simon Rix and Nick Baines of the Kaiser Chiefs, covering Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. for The Bringing It All Back Home project which regularly supports vulnerable adults at Old Chapel Music Studios in Leeds [17]
