Miki Pulley Co., Ltd. (jap. 三木プーリ株式会社, Miki Pūri Kabushiki-gaisha) is a Japanese manufacturer in the field of power transmission.
History
The company was founded in 1939 in Omiya-cho, Kawasaki, Japan as Miki Seisakusho and renamed in 1966. The company started with the production of infinitely variable speed changers and, in the following years, the product range was continuously expanded by other components related to drive technology.
After expansion in the field of drive technology in the Asian market, expansion in the American market followed with the acquisition of Zero-Max Inc. in 1992. In 2013, the company, which employs around 950 people, founded Miki Pulley Europe AG and continued its successful expansion in the European market.
In 2016, Miki Pulley Europe AG acquired VMA Verbindungs-, Meß- und Antriebstechnik GmbH in Großostheim, Bavaria[2], inventor and manufacturer of the sliced coupling[3][4]. Miki Pulley Europe AG thus expanded the company with the first production facility in Europe[5]
Products
The company is active in the development, manufacture and sales of drive technology components and produces, among other things, shaft clutches (e.g. disc couplings, jaw couplings, sliced couplings, etc.), safety brakes, electromagnetic brakes and electromagnetic clutches as well as infinitely variable speed changers.
