Milan Zrnic (born 1984) is a Serbian-American artist, photographer, creative director, and designer. He is recognized[by whom?] for his use of light and composition, often integrating elements of surrealism and minimalism.

Design[edit]

Zrnic's design sensibility is rooted in utility and balance, often employing negative space to add visual tension. In 2008, Zrnic served as art director for Urban Outfitters, where he designed six catalogs during the brand's shift into higher price points. In 2011, Zrnic's branding and identity design for Lars Nilsson's Mr. Nils brand won a Graphis Gold Award.[1][not in citation given]

In addition to several fashion works, Zrnic has designed book covers. His design for the deluxe edition of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley was inducted into the permanent collection of the AIGA.[2]

Creative direction[edit]

In early 2013, Zrnic served as the creative director for Beyoncé's Mrs. Carter World Tour book, which was sold at venues on the international tour and featured several collages of what inspired Beyoncé and her performances on the tour.

As of November 2014, Zrnic serves as the creative director and photographer for Twin Shadow in preparation for their upcoming album release and Eclipse Tour.[citation needed]

Photography[edit]

In late 2013, Zrnic's career began shifting heavily into photography. His work has appeared in Fantastic Man,[3][4][5] Garmento, PIN-UP, and several other international publications.

Menswear brand Fanmail has commissioned Zrnic for most of their lookbooks and campaigns, drawing comparisons to the work of Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber.[6]
