Millennium's Rule is a book series written by Trudi Canavan.

The first book in the series, Thief's Magic, was written in 2014. The subsequent books are Angel of Storms (2015), Successor's Promise (2017) and Maker's Curse (planned for 2019).[1]

Trudi Canavan had sold two million books worldwide at the time Thief's Magic released.[2]

Plot and setting[edit]

The series follows young magician and archaeology student Tyen Ironsmelter as he finds a magical book in an ancient tomb. The book warns him about a disaster ready to strike.

In another world, Rielle, who helps out in her parents' dyeing business, finds out she has magical ability. in her world using magic is forbidden, for to use magic is to steal from the Angels.

The books are set in an infinitely large Multiverse where powerful sorcerers are able to travel between worlds using magic. The problems start when the Raen, the most powerful sorcerer in the multiverse, returns after disappearing 20 years earlier.[3]
