The Milwaukee Independent content is currently produced by a staff of six, including editors, writers, photographers, and other contributors.

Awards[edit]

The Milwaukee Independent is the winner of 7 awards for excellence in Wisconsin journalism from the Milwaukee Press Club, covering topics on social trauma, segregation and racism, and Vietnam military veterans such as George Banda and Medal of Honor recipient Lance P. Sijan.[1]
