Mahesh Kumar M. C. also known as Mimicry Mahesh/ The Golden Voice Mahesh, Founder & CEO of The Golden Voice, a voice training school is an Indian stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor and television presenter from the Karnataka state of India.[1]

Mahesh has featured in many comedy albums and has has casted in a 2022 Kannada film Ombatthane Dikku. He has presented a television show Udees that aired on Suvarna News Kannada. In the year 2016, along with Mimicry Dayanand, and Sihi Kahi Chandru, he acted in a television show called Haasyada Rasa, aired in Kasturi Channel and also participated in comedy reality shows like Comedy Kiladigalu and with Maja talkies Srujan in Mummy no. 1 show. He has also shared stage with leading mimicry artists and Standup comedians like Mimicry Dayanand, Sudha Baragur, Prof.Krishne Gowda, Pranesh, Master Hiraniah, Mimicry Gopi etc.[2] Every year as part of Golden Voice's anniversary, the Golden Voice Voice Festival and Mimicry Mahamela are celebrated in the month of August. From 15th to 21st August 2022, the same voice festival is being celebrated as "Karnataka Voice Festival" and Mimicry Mahamela to bring together voice artistes and mimicry masters from across Karnataka on one stage.[3]

Early Life[edit]

Mahesh Kumar was born on 5th April 1980 in Gargeshwari near Mysore. He received his primary education in Abhinava Bharathi Vidya Kendra (ABVK), Mandya and he graduated from P.E.S College of Engineering with a Bachelors in Engineering. He pursued Masters in Environmental Engineering in BMS Engineering College, Bengaluru. He has worked as an Asst. Professor and HOD of Civil Engineering Department in City Engineering College from 2006 to July 2018. He was strongly attracted to mimicry and voice acting that he quit his job and started "The Golden Voice" in August 2018.

Mahesh has acted in serials like Papa Pandu, Silly Lally, Chirasmarane, Uge Uge Madheshwara and some movies like Upendra's Super, movie Koormavathara in Girish Kasaravalli direction, Sakhi, Masterpiece, Vascodigama, Ravi History, Illade Iruva, Bharatha Bahubali, Kaurya, DAD (Devaraj Aliyas Devid), Selfi Mummy Google Daddy, Ombattane Dikku, Grey Games.

He has dubbed for movies like Commando, Jagamalla , Bigil from Tamil to Kannada and also lend his voice for Discovery Kannada documentaries. He has been voice for various characters in web series like Water Bottle, Poison, Bombers, GOD, Brahm, Bacteria and a few SoniLiv series like Project 9191, Undekhi 2, Katmandu Connection, and Maharani and has been a voice for popular Kannada dubbed serials like Radha Krishna[4], CID, Lakshmi.

The Golden Voice[edit]

Mahesh started his own Voice training school called "The Golden Voice" in which he conducts a resourceful workshops advanced courses on mimicry, Standup comedy, Voice over, Voice acting, Dubbing, Sound Design and Voice Culture. Until February 2022 he has trained more than 360 students through The Golden voice.
