Mindset (band)
Mindset was a straight edge hardcore punk band that was formed by guitarist Mike Clarke and vocalist Evan Wivell in the Fall of 2007 in Thurmont, Maryland.

History
Mindset rose out of the ashes of Mike and Evan's previous band Anti-Wasteoids when they released their album entitled Mindset in early 2007. Wanting people to take them more seriously, and with the addition of new members, they chose Mindset as their new name.
By late 2007–early 2008, Mindset was touring up and down the east coast with bands like Lion Of Judah, Fired Up, and The First Step. Gaining the attention of Aram from The First Step, he then decided to release the 'REALPOWER' 7" on his new label React! Records.[1]
After extensive touring, guitar player Chad Wilkes and drummer Phil Price decided to leave the band in early 2009, being replaced with Daniel Fang on drums and Jon 'Mini Stigma' (of Desperate Measures, Lion of Judah) on guitar. With this new lineup the band was invited to play the Sound & Fury Festival in California and the This Is Hardcore Festival in Philadelphia (a fest they would return to play for the next seven years).[2] They also would record a live album at Champion Ship Records in Lemoyne, PA in November 2009.
2010 saw the release of the Time & Pressure 7", a full US tour with Belgian youth crew band True Colors, and the premiere of the React! Records showcase at the 924 Gilman St in Berkeley with 7 Seconds.[3] Soon after, Austin Stemper (of Have Heart, Give) replaced Jon on guitar.
In 2012 the band played the annual Chaos In Tejas festival in Austin with bands Best Coast, Cockney Rejects, and Municipal Waste.[4] That fall, their debut LP Leave No Doubt came out to much acclaim in the hardcore and punk community.[5] Many of Mindset's songs had socio political themes dealing with war, poverty, drug abuse, and animal rights.[6] The end of 2012 also brought the band to Europe for the first time.
By 2016, Mindset had slowed down as its members were all playing in various other bands, most notably Daniel Fang in Turnstile and Angel Du$t. They announced their breaking up with the release of a new record, Nothing Less, and a final list of planned shows.[7] Their final show was in Washington, D.C. on May 14, 2016.
