History
MineBest was established in December 2017 by Eyal Avramovich.[4]
By August 2018 MineBest had two employees, while growing to 60+ employees worldwide by June 2019. MineBest now has an R&D and Sales Center located in Poland, at the Warsaw West Station building, and 5 representatives across the whole world (USA, China, South Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan). MineBest hosts three cryptocurrency mining farms in Kazakhstan at 20 MW (full capacity), 80 MW (under construction) and a 50MW (under construction) with plans for constructing several MineBest Cities.[5][6] A 100MW to 300 MW each facility.[7] Company expands to over 60 people by June 2019 and still growing rapidly as of date.
The industry has become known in the crypto mining industry community thanks to MineBest Boxes. MineBest Boxes solution is an automated container developed by MineBest and represents the concept of "smart mining". With the design of MineBest Boxes, MineBest can now host various types of equipment at its data center, including graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) as well as application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). The flexibility in terms of the type of machines hosted results from the strategic and long-term perspective implemented by MineBest, which takes into account the increasing need for data storage as a market opportunity with a high yield.[8]
For crypto mining industry the critical issue regarding hosting cryptocurrency mining equipment is the total hosting fee, generally expressed in US dollar per every kWh of energy consumed by the machines. The total hosting fee includes both the electricity cost and service fee (costs of maintaining the equipment, cybersecurity, insurance, repairing, etc.).
