Mineral Gap is a secured 65,000 square feet (6,000 m2) mission-critical Tier 3 data center in Wise County, Virginia. The facility, which was completed in 2017 by DP Facilities, is located on a 22-acre campus in the Lonesome Pine Regional Business and Technology Park.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

The data center was designed for both commercial and government use.[4][7]

The facility plans to expand to 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2) across a 50-acre campus in the near future.[4][7]

Local Economy[edit]

The data center was built in an area of southwestern Virginia that has been impacted by the declining US Coal industry.[8]
