Mio P560
Mio P560 is a personal digital assistant (PDA) with a built-in GPS receiver owned Mio Technology and manufactured by MiTAC.[1] The communications connectivity systems were produced by CSR.[2] It is a part of Mio's Digiwalker series.
It measures 117x70mm of width and is 15.5mm thick, and weights 170g.[3]
History[edit]
Mio P560 was released in September of 2007.[1] It was first released and sold in Hungary.[4]
Hardware[edit]
Processors[edit]
The PDA uses a 400MHz Samsung S3C2443 processor, with 512MB of storage capacity[5] and with 64MiB of RAM, although only 53.4MiB of RAM is user-accessible.[1]
Display[edit]
It has a polychromatic screen with 89mm of diagonal size and 240x320 of resolution that is not scratch resistant.[1][5]
Audio[edit]
Mio P560 uses mono audio speakers and a 2.5mm audio output.[1][5]
Battery[edit]
It uses a 1350mAh lithium-ion battery with estimated life of 8 hours.[1][5]
Software[edit]
It's default operating system is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Classic. Mio P560 has a built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi integrated.[3][5]
Reception[edit]
Mio P560 was criticized for using a QVGA screen instead of a VGA one, being relatively cumbersome in size and weight and using an 2.5mm audio output rather than the most common 3.5mm output.[3][4] However, it was complimented by the quality of it's chosen operating system and convenience of the built-in GPS receiver, and reviewers considered it better than it's predecessor, the P550.[3][4]
