From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Mircea Băduț (sometimes written as Mircea Bãduts, or Mircea Badutz; Romanian pronunciation: [ˈmirt͡ʃe̯a bəˈduts]; born November 15, 1967) is a Romanian engineer and writer.

Biography

He was born in Ramnicu Valcea city, Valcea County.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Craiova in 1992.

He has written eleven technical books (applied informatics) and five fiction books (short stories, prose essays of philosophical, psychological, and anthropological nuances). His most popular books are Calculatorul în trei timpi (The Computer in three snaps) and DonQuijotisme AntropoLexice (AnthropoLexical DonQuixotisms).[1]

Technical research

In the field of technical books, Mircea Băduț invented the editorial concept "... in three snaps": each topic/subchapter of the book is presented in three distinct accessibility levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced – but with a minimum and controlled redundancy), so the reader can choose the suitable level for self-training. Two of his books were created in this manner ('Calculatorul în trei timpi', 'AutoCAD-ul în trei timpi'), and both were published four times each (Polirom, 2001–2014).[2]

He has also written over three hundred scientific and technical articles for Romanian and European magazines. By his early contributions (articles, books, papers) in CAD (computer aided design) and GIS (geo-information systems) domains, he was a pioneer in these subfields of computer science in Romania. Some of his works are often mentioned in academic and professional bibliographies, in Romania[3] and abroad.[4]

He participated with papers in dozens of technical and scientific conferences/symposia in Romania and Europe.

He translated (from English to Romanian language) many articles for the "Science in School" magazine, an EIROforum publication (2011–2016).

Belletristic works

Some of his short proses appeared in Romanian-spread publications: ro [Anticipatia Almanac] (1997); Science Fiction Almanac (2007, 2008); Helion magazine; Dilema veche (2007, 2013, 2015). Also, several prose texts were awarded at national literature contests.
