Miriam Solís is a Mexican singer of regional Mexican music and mariachi. She is best known for her album Armando Manzanero presenta: Feria de amor (2019) and for collaborating with composer and producer Armando Manzanero on recordings such as Morena (2020).[1][2]

Biography

Solís was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. She began her career in traditional Mexican music as a member of the folkloric group Estampas de México, with which she toured in Europe, Asia and North America. She later studied modern music in Barcelona and participated in the U.S. television program Duetos, reaching the final rounds.[3]

Career

In 2017 she was among the invited performers at the mariachi marathon held in Mexico City's Zócalo.[4]

In 2019 she released the album Armando Manzanero presenta: Feria de amor, produced by Manzanero and published by Universal Music México/Fonovisa.[2] The collaboration between Manzanero and Solís has been mentioned in cultural chronicles about his later works.[5] In 2020, Manzanero also produced and promoted the single Morena, which was presented for the traditional serenade to the Virgin of Guadalupe.[1][6]

In 2025 she premiered the single Por amor (a classic by Rafael Solano), released under the Morena Music label. The song is part of a repertoire of tributes to Manzanero that Solís has presented in several venues.[7][8]

Musical style

Her music combines traditional Mexican repertoire with ballads and pop arrangements, with the explicit goal of promoting and preserving Mexican music.[3][9]
