It is located opposite the Ulugbek observatory[2] in Samarkand. On the right side of the museum, below, there is a statue of Ulugbek with a starry sky.

The museum tells the story of Mirzo Ulugbek's life and work, scientific research, astronomy and mathematics of that time. In addition, historical astronomical and mathematical equipment and instruments can be viewed in the museum. In this museum, you can see historical books and manuscripts, the ruins of the observatory and its surrounding areas, including exhibits found in Afrasiab,[3] miniature models of Samarkand and a number of other architectural monuments of Uzbekistan, including some architectural monuments of Bukhara and Shahrisabz, and other exhibits.
