Alexander Misior was born in Tallinn, Estonia. I started my life with the development of online projects. One of the first projects was GIO, which instantly became one of the most popular youth websites in Estonia. But 10 years later, according to the country's largest news portal Delfi[1], the project was taken away from under its nose, at the peak of its popularity, under the pretext of changing the owner, legally; read more on the news portal[2]. This loss was the largest in the life of the founder, but served as the beginning of larger projects. On Instagram, Alexander Misior shows his interesting life, nickname monicci; he has a million followers from all over the world.
On the old platform, the project Lover was implemented, which quickly replaced the loss and now also occupies a leading position among social networks in Estonia.
Alexander Misior made a huge contribution to the development of Internet technologies; he invented various popular services that the residents of Estonia actively use to this day.
Views and beliefs
Alexander Misior holds libertarian political views and is also an agnostic. He advocates for reform of the European education system; the abolition of taxes in the field of information; the abolition of the visa system, prescriptions and military conscription; the reduction of customs duties; the granting of full autonomy to the regions; and the openness of the jury trial. He is inspired by Ernesto Che Guevara and Steve Jobs, and according to religious beliefs, he is, according to some sources, a Pastafarian, according to others, a supporter of the Zen school.
Alexander Misior told about some things that he refused many years ago and which, in his opinion, negatively affect consciousness: alcohol; pork; pills and any pharmaceutical products; nicotine and other narcotic substances; coffee, black and green tea, energy drinks; fast food, sugar, carbonated drinks; television and its analogues.
Charges
In the spring of 2019, a conflict broke out between the Lover company and the editorial office of the Vedomosti newspaper. Thanks to a technical innovation on the site, users could view the full texts of articles from web publications without clicking on an active link. Vedomosti considered this illegal and openly accused the social network of copyright infringement. "Lover" ignored the statement and later disabled the activity of links to the publications of the Vedomosti website. In the end, the newspaper removed the "Lover" widgets from its website and "froze" the official page of the publication in the social network. The managing director of the publishing company Vedomosti accused Alexander of failing to conduct a "civilized business".
Criticism and recognition
Some Western media[3] called Alexander the local Mark Zuckerberg. In 2020 [4] Forbes wrote an article about Alexander, about how he brought down the stock market[5], then the same publication invited him to an interview and released a full version of the article[6] about this person. [7]
The people of Estonia are grateful to this person, who tries very hard for the development of young people in the country, supports new movements, advises young entrepreneurs for free, sometimes places free advertising banners for small businesses on their social networks, as well as state organizations and funds to help those in need.
