Mister Films, LLC

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Mister Films, Ltd was a British film studio[1] (based first in Epping and then at Shepperton Studios) that made and produced all of the Mr Men and Little Miss TV programmes from 1974 through to 1991. The company also produced several television ads, idents, and cinema adverts, as well as one feature film. Mister was established in 1973 by Roger Hargreaves, who started the series, along with his partner Terry Ward, who later became part of Flicks Films, and Hargreaves' widow Christine. The logo of Mister Films was a large daisy with Mr Tickle and Little Miss Sunshine sitting on it (inspired by Patrick Woodroffe's art).

The company closed down on New Year's Eve 1991 because of Roger Hargreaves' death and continuing financial troubles. When the studio closed down, Christine Hargreaves established Mrs Roger Hargreaves and Terry Ward went to live in Ireland. The Mr Men programmes were still produced by Mrs Roger Hargreaves from 1992 until 2005, when they were bought out by Chorion.
