Mara "Mitch" Meyers is an American advertising executive who served as CEO of the Zipatoni company.
Career
Meyers was recruited by Anheuser-Busch to head up their then top-secret project, Bud Light. She then became the Director of Marketing for a new Anheuser-Busch Beverage Division. In 1987, Meyers was named AdWeek Woman of the Year.[1]
After leaving Anheuser-Busch, Mitch joined Jack Thorwegen as CEO of the recently founded Zipatoni company in St. Louis. By 1998 Meyers and Thorwegen had grown the firm to 375 employees, with offices in over five states[2] and billings exceeding 40 million dollars per year.[3]
In 2002 Zipatoni was sold and became part of the Interpublic Group of companies.[4]
Post-retirement
In mid-2013, Meyers and Jack Thorwegen reunited to form an agency called The Proof Agency focused on serving smaller craft spirits, beer, and wine companies.[5]
