Miyha - Band

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Miyha is an American indie rock band from Madison, WI formed in 2016. The EP Happy Birthday, Nick[1] was self-recorded on former bassist Nick Hoffmann's birthday and released on January 9, 2017.

History

Alejandra Perez is the former singer and guitarist for Madison, WI band Tarpaulin.[2] Perez formed Miyha post-Tarpaulin with the encouragement of Erik Fredine[3], drummer of Madison band We Should Have Been DJ's, in August of 2016. Fredine brought in WSHBDJ's guitarist Mike Pellino. Hoffmann joined the band as the original bassist, but departed in April of 2017[3].

Fredine enlisted the help of Kyle Kohl as interim bassist before the arrival of year-long bassist Maggie Denman. Denman, an experienced bassist and music booker, departed Miyha to join the band Proud Parents (Dirtnap Records) in February of 2018. Kohl returned to the band as the permanent bassist that same month.

Since their start, Miyha has opened for bands like Bad Bad Hats, Slow Pulp[4], Half Waif (as a solo artist), Hovvdy (as a solo artist), Vacation[5], and more.

Miyha will release their first full-length album in March of 2019.
