MANAGEMENT OF PORTFOLIO (MOP) Management of Portfolios (MoP) provides an overview of portfolio management, the principles upon which it is based, some of the techniques used, and how you can get started and sustain progress. It advices on and shows examples of how to apply principles, practices, and techniques that help optimize an organization’s investment in change. All MoP orientation is in the MoP book.[1]

MoP is universally applicable guidance published by the Office of Government Commerce, a department in the UK Government, to help organisations create support structures that enable the successful delivery of their portfolios of change initiatives. MoP is 100% aligned to P3O.

The MoP guidance provides senior executives and practitioners, who have responsibility for planning and implementing portfolios of change, with a set of principles, techniques and practices to introduce or re-energize portfolio management [2]
