Moa Point is a small suburb located in the on the southern edge of the Miramar Peninsula in Wellington, New Zealand. Moa Point is in Wellington's Eastern Ward and is in close proximity to Wellington International Airport, with no part of the suburb being more than 2.5km away.
Moa Point could easily be considered Wellington's smallest suburb with only 21 households and 48 residents.[2] The reason for the small size of the suburb is due to its geography; the narrow space that Moa Point Road (the only road in the suburb) passes through is between steep hills and the rocky Tarakena Bay beach, allowing little space for houses.
