MobilityStudio

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

MobilityStudio is an agent-based transport planning software that serves as a graphical companion tool to MATSim (Multi-Agent Transport Simulation), an open-source transport simulation framework. It provides an interactive network editor that lets users create and modify transport networks directly on a map, including freehand drawing tools for adding, moving, or deleting nodes and links. MobilityStudio is compatible with common MATSim data formats, including network, transit schedule, vehicle, plans, simulation events, trips, and legs files. This allows existing MATSim scenarios to be loaded and edited directly, without the need for conversion.

Additional features include:

  • a public transit editor for editing stops, lines, and schedules
  • table views that stay synchronized with the graphical editor
  • a population editing function, allowing users to create, clone, or delete individual agents (persons) and edit their daily plans (activities, trips, timings) directly within the application
  • the ability to launch MATSim simulation runs directly from within the application, either locally or on a server
  • support for on-demand mobility concepts such as shared autonomous vehicles and ride-pooling (via MATSim's DRT module)
  • visualization of simulation output, including vehicle and person movements[1]

MobilityStudio is aimed primarily at transport planners and researchers working with MATSim.
