Moet is a champagne-colored, long-haired Persian cat who went blind because of neglect. She was rescued and adopted by Dr. Emily Shotter and lives in Muscat, Oman. [1][2]
Early Life[edit]
Moet was born in Oman, most likely to an unregulated breeder and was taken to a local pet shop there. It is thought that she got cat flu while in the pet shop from a fellow animal and due to negligence of the store owners, who did not treat the cat flu, she went permanently blind. Blindness is a common outcome from untreated cat flu. Moet was rescued by an unnamed volunteer and was later adopted by Dr. Emily Shotter, a British citizen from Nottingham, UK, in September, 2014. Moet lives with Dr. Emily and her two other cats in Muscat, Oman currently. [3] [4] [5]
Popularity[edit]
She has her own website and social media accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook. [6][7]
