Mohamed Bamashmous is a Saudi Arabian orthodontist and academic. He is Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Dental Public Health at the King Abdulaziz University Faculty of Dentistry in Jeddah, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a surveyor for the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).[1][2]

Bamashmous received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King Abdulaziz University before continuing graduate training at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he completed a Master of Science in Dentistry, a Doctor of Science in Dentistry, and a Master of Arts.[3]
Academic career
Bamashmous chairs the Department of Dental Public Health at the King Abdulaziz University Faculty of Dentistry, with a joint appointment in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.[1] His research focuses on dental public health policy, accreditation systems for healthcare organisations in the Gulf region, oral-health-related quality of life following orthognathic surgery, and the application of the Health Belief Model to preventive dentistry.
