Mohamed Diyab
Mohamed Diyab (born May 1998) is a Moroccan linguist and tour guide from Aourir, near Agadir, Morocco. He earned a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Ibn Zohr University in 2021.[1]
Diyab is an ethnic Soussi and a native speaker of Tachelhit. He also speaks Arabic, French, and English, and he is a practicing Sunni Muslim.
Early life and education
Mohamed Diyab was born in May 1998 in Aourir, a town located along Morocco’s Atlantic coast near Agadir. He grew up in the Soussi cultural region, where Tachelhit is widely spoken.
He attended Ibn Zohr University in Agadir, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics in 2021.
Language and cultural background
Diyab belongs to the Soussi Amazigh community of southern Morocco and is fluent in Tachelhit. He is also proficient in Arabic, French, and English, which supports his work in linguistics and tourism.
