Mohammad Salehi (born June 1, 1988 in Arak) is a speed skater from Iran. He is an Iranian speed skater who has more than 100 provincial, national and international achievements in speed skating.

Early career[edit]

Mohammed Salehi started skating in Arak city in 1995 and quickly attracted to this sport, but due to the heavy costs of skating, he was unable to start skating professionally, he eventually entered skating in 2002. He was sent to the national championship with the Central Province team in 2007, but failing to win a medal. He rose to prominence in the national tournament in Tehran in 2008 and was invited to the national team.

Skate career[edit]

Mohammed Salehi was invited to the Asian Marathon soon after being invited to the national team in 2008. Due to the lack of facilities he moved to Tehran to continue his training. Hence, he has been a consecutive member of national team since 2008 and has earned the following achievements and medals:

• Won the title of Iran Champion from 2005 to 2019

• Racing in the Asian Club Marathon in China

• Fourth place in the Asian Championship of China Heining City, 2008

• Won the 5th place in the World Championship in China, 2005

• Racing for the Colombia World Championships 2010

• Sent as the first and only Iranian male player to the Guangzhou Asian Games and won sixth place, China, 2010

• Won the 11th place in the World Championship in South Korea 2011

• Fourth place in the Asian Championship in China 2012

• Bronze medalist in the Asian Championship in China 2014

• Won the 11th place in the World Championship of China 2015

• Won the bronze medal in the Asian Championship in China 2014

• Tenth place in the World Championship of China in year 2017

• Won the eighth place in the World Championship in the Netherlands 2018

• Second place in South American open INLINE speed skating championship, Chile, 2018

• Won the bronze medal in the Asian Championship in South Korea 2018

• Won the gold medal in the Asian Championship in South Korea 2018

• Second place in the Chile Open Cup 2019

coaching career[edit]

• Mohammad Salehi has the track record of coaching the Markazi province and the Tehran province. Simultaneously, on his coaching stage Markazi province team won the first place in the national championship. Mohammed Salehi has limited coaching activity due to his continues presence in the tournaments as a player, but so far many speed skaters have become national champions have been coached with him.

He is also a member of the speed skating federation of Iran.
