Introduction[edit]
Mohan Sadashiv Joshi is a healer from India practicing since 1982.[1] Joshi has treated more than 100,000 people in India.[2]
Joshi is a graduate in humanities and a former bank employee.[3] Joshi was initially skeptical when an astrologer suggested he has the ability to heal people.[4] However, he experimented on his friend who possessed a ganglion growth that caused him continual pain, and was able to heal the pain and diminish the growth significantly.[5] This inspired Joshi to treat other patients free of cost.[6]
Joshi has helped patients with blood pressure, asthma, arthritis, sciatica, muscular pain, slipped disc, spine disorders, swelling, paralysis, neurological disorders and heart problems.[7] Patients typically feel heat currents from Joshi's hands (even from a distance) and a "charge" which provides at least initial relief when he places them on the back.[8]
His patients included renowned industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani whom Joshi cured of paralysis on the right side of his body.[9] and theater actor Suresh Khare.[10] Other luminaries who have benefited from Joshi's treatment are Former Parliament of India speaker Balram Jakhar and Karnataka Minister H K Patil who walked again after receiving treatment from Joshi.[11]
In December 1996, The Faculty of Medical Studies, Medicina Alternativa Institute affiliated to the Open International University for Complementary Medicines conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) in Colombo.[12]
