Lieutenant General Mohsin Muhammad Qureshi, HI(M) is a Pakistani physician and a serving three-star general in the Pakistan Army. He belongs to the Pakistan Army Medical Corps (AMC) and is serving as the Surgeon General of Pakistan Army. He is also the Colonel commandant of Army Medical Corps.
Lieutenant General Mohsin's career in AMC spans over more than three decades with experience in command, staff and instructional appointments in Armed Forces. He has played a significant role in public /community health/ epidemiology sectors in Pakistan. He is known to be an expert in Policy Planning and implementation Strategy expert in Healthcare. He has played a role in implementation of Hospital Management System (HMS) in military hospitals across Pakistan; specially targeting Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Early life and education
Lieutenant General Mohsin Qureshi is a graduate of King Edwards Medical College, Lahore. He is also qualified MSc Healthcare Management. He is a fellow of Royal College of Physician of Edinburgh (FRCP).[1], United Kingdom. Lieutenant General Mohsin has also been awarded Fellowship in Medical Human Resource Management, United Kingdom. He also holds postgraduate diploma in Aerospace Medicine. He is also Surface Warfare course qualified. He has also attended Mutual Exchange Program in Medical Operational Logistics from Germany. He has also attended various courses including “Enhanced Clinical Leadership” and “Leading for Quality and Improvement” from United Kingdom. He is a chartered member of Institute of Logistics and Transport, United Kingdom and Lead Auditor for ISO 9001-2015 quality assurance program for hospitals.
Military career
Lieutenant General Mohsin has Commanded level-5 Flagship Base hospital, level-4 hospital in operational area, a medical battalion and a field hospital in operational area. He has also served in Siachen and Kashmir. He has served as Flight Surgeon at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He served as flight surgeon in Pakistan Navy (PN) and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) as well as RMO on board PN ship. Lieutenant General Mohsin has the distinguished honor of being the Chief Instructor of Institute of Aerospace Medicine Karachi besides being Divisional Director Medical Services of a deployed infantry Division and Director Medical Services Corps Logistic. He has served as Directing Staff Coord at Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute Rawalpindi and Inspector General Hospitals at General Headquarters Medical Directorate. He has served as the Commandant Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi [2] [3], Rawalpindi. Since 15 December 2022 he has assumed the appointment of Surgeon General/ Director General Medical Services (Inter Services).
Qureshi is a recipient of Chief of Air Staff Commendation Card and is also awarded with Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).

Lieutenant General Mohsin is married and has two children. Both of them are IT Engineers.
