Mojidad
Mojidad is a village in Chuda Taluka of Surendranagar district, Gujarat, India. It was formerly a village of the Jhala/Rana Rajput princely state Limbdi.
History
Limbdi State is the Manguji Saakha (branch) of Jhalawar. Mojidad was the village ruled by Jhala (clan) chieftains. The Village Mojidad and other two villages (Sejakpur, Liyad) were allotted as a Garas to Shree Vajerajji Jhala who was the son of Limbdi Naresh (His Highness) Maharaja Veraji. Interestingly, His Highness Shree Raj Jaswantsinhji of Limbdi State was also from Mojidad.
Demographics
According to Census 2011 information, the location code or village code of Mojidad village is 512499. Mojidad village is located in Chuda Tehsil of Surendranagar district in Gujarat, India. It is situated 14 km away from sub-district headquarter Chuda and 43 km away from district headquarter Surendranagar. As per 2009 stats, Mojidad village is also a gram panchayat.
The total geographical area of the village is 2547.02 hectares. Mojidad has a total population of 3,129 people. There are about 621 houses in Mojidad village. As per 2019 stats, Mojidad village comes under Limbdi assembly & Surendranagar parliamentary constituency. Limbdi is the nearest town to Mojidad which is approximately 15 km away.
Culture
The Village is filled with diversity and people also live with unity. There are different types of castes living in Mojidad, for example, Brahmin, Garasiya Rajput Darbar (Jhala/Zala/Rana), Kardiya Rajput, Bharwad, Patel, Koli, etc. Moreover, there are many places and temples located in the Mojidad village. Most famous and visited places in Mojidad are Shree Shakti mata temple, But Bhavani mata temple, Radha Krushna Mandir, Anand Ashram and many others.
