Moneyview is an Indian fintech[3][4] company, based in Bangalore.[5] Moneyview operates in digital lending[6] and financial services. Moneyview provides products like personal loans,[7] personal finance manager, and digital gold.[8][9]

History

Moneyview was founded in 2014 by Puneet Agarwal and Sanjay Aggarwal[10][11] with the aim of simplifying finances and providing financial inclusion to all Indians. The company initially started with providing a financial management app for Android.[12]

As of December 2022, Moneyview had an annualized disbursal run-rate of $1.2 billion,[13] with over $800 million in assets under management.

Business model

Moneyview's digital lending works on a revenue-sharing arrangement with its lending partners,[14][15] where the company bears the cost of acquiring and servicing customers, and the lender provides the capital.[16]

Funding

As of September 2023, Moneyview has participated in 8 funding rounds and has raised a total of $220M over 10 funding rounds.[17] The latest funding was raised in December 2022 in a Series-E round.[18][19] This round of funding focuses on advancing Moneyview’s primary business and expanding products like digital bank accounts, insurance, and wealth management solutions to its portfolio.[20]

Moneyview, a Bengaluru-based fintech unicorn[21], is preparing for a $400 million initial public offering (IPO) and has appointed Axis Capital and Kotak Mahindra Capital as lead managers. The IPO will primarily involve a fresh capital infusion to support the expansion of the company’s lending and financial services operations.[22][23]

Subsidiaries

On September 2024 , Moneyview acquired Bengaluru-based Jify,[24] an employee benefit startup. This acquisition propelled Moneyview to unicorn status[25][26] following the allotment of shares worth ₹38.64 crore (approximately $4.65 million)[27] to Jify’s existing investors, Accel India and Nexus Ventures.
