Early life and career[edit]

Montaser Abultayeb was born on February 15, 1972, in Amman, Jordan. He began playing basketball at a young age and quickly developed into a talented player. He played his entire professional career with the Orthodox Amman team, where he won three Jordanian Basketball League (JBL) championships. He also played for the Jordanian Men's National Team, and was selected to play there when he was 17 years old.

Coaching career[edit]

Abultayeb retired from playing in 2001 and immediately began his coaching career. He has coached a number of successful teams in Jordan, including Orthodox Amman, Zain JO, ASU, and Al-Wehdat. He has won the JBL championship twice as a coach, and he has also helped to develop a number of young players who have gone on to play for the Jordanian national team.

Medical career[edit]

In addition to his coaching career, Abultayeb is also a physician. He believes that his medical training has helped him to be a better coach, as it has given him a better understanding of the human body and how to prevent injuries.

National team coaching[edit]

Abultayeb has served as the assistant coach of the Jordanian Men's National Team on numerous occasions. He first worked with well-known coach Mario Palma in 2006-2007, and then with coach Rajko Toroman in 2014-2016. He also served as the head coach of the Jordanian Olympic National Team, where he helped to develop a number of young players who are now still carrying the National Team on the international level.

He is known for his passion for the game and his dedication to his players. He is an inspiration to many young Jordanian basketball players, and he is sure to continue to make a major impact on the sport in Jordan for many years to come.
