Montirex
British Sportswear Brand
Montirex is a men’s and women’s sportswear brand based in Liverpool, England.
Montirex was founded in May 2019 as Montaga by Knowsley best friends Kieran Riddell-Austin and Daniel Yuen, originally selling just 3 T-shirts. The brand’s range has grown massively since to over 100 products, most notably its trail space dye t-shirts. Montaga changed its name to Montirex in early 2020 due to legal issues which meant it could not be trademarked, also at which time retailer Footasylum began to stock their products. The brand launched its first kidswear range in 2021 and expanded into womenswear in September 2022. In April 2023 JD sports began to stock Montirex.
Montirex has sponsorships with various athletes, most notably UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Other Montirex sponsored athletes include Dominick cruz, Roman Bravo-Young, Mick Conlan, Brendan loughnane, Jazza Dickens and Leon’s brother Fabian. Montirex is also the main sponsor of the UFC podcast Fight Disciples. Montirex previously sponsored The Leg It Podcast hosted by former Royal Marine Andy Grant.
