Monty Meth
Monty Meth (born 1926) is a British former journalist.
Career
In 1944, at age 18, Meth joined the navy. Later in his life, he became the industrial editor for the Daily Mail and won News Reporter of the Year in 1970.[1] He now writes articles in his loft for his local newspaper.[citation needed]
In his retirement, he took over leadership of the Enfield Over-50s Forum, developing it from a group with 70 members to one with 6,000 members, now described as "a significant campaigning group to advocate the interests of seniors in his neighbourhood".[1] He is life president of the group.[2]
Meth's life is a case study in an Open University course on "Introducing Ageing".[3]
