Moon Bin (Hangul: 문빈, Kana: ムンビン,Hanja: 文彬, Hán-Việt: Văn Bân, Thai: มุนบิน, born January 26, 1998), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a lead vocal and dancer of the South Korean boy group ASTRO under Fantagio label.
Early life[edit]
Moon Bin was born on January 26, 1998 in Cheongju, Chungbuk Province, South Korea
He attended and graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School with a focus on Practical Music.
Personal life[edit]
Father, mother and a younger sister - Moon Sua (ex-trainee of YG who was Unpretty Rapstar 2's third runner-up, she's now under the Black Label agency and rumoured to debut soon)
He’s close friend to 98liners Seventeen Seungkwan, GFriend SinB & Umji, UNI.T Suji, IMFACT Ungjae and iKON Chanwoo
Career[edit]
2009–2016[edit]
In 2004, Moon Bin made his debut as a child model, ulzzang, and actor. He got his own fancafe with more than 9,000 fans back then.
In 2006 He appeared in TVXQ's Balloon MV[1]
In 2007 He was presented as Mini Yunho (TVXQ) in show Star King.
In 2009, he starred in his first bigger role in the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers as a younger version of Kim Bum's character.
He also made an appearance in the 333th episode of the reality TV show Hello Counselor in 2010 and appeared in a commercial for Samsung
In 2012, he modeled for the "Fantagio iTeen's Audition" with Kang Chanhee and Lee Jaesung[2]
In 2013, he participated in the "Winter Audition with Mr. Pizza" with Cha Eunwoo.
In 2014, he appeared in KBS 9AM/PM News' "Hallyu Star & Gangnam Style: Trainee Interview" with Cha Eunwoo, Rocky, and JinJin.
In August 2015, Moon Bin, along with the other members of his group, participated in the web-drama To Be Continued.
2016-present: Debut with Astro and acting career[edit]
Astro debuted on February 23, 2016 with the mini album Spring Up. After making his debut with Astro, he only took up minor roles in dramas, making guest appearances in My Romantic Some Recipe (2016), Idol Fever (2017), and Sweet Revenge (2017).
In 2019, he was cast in his first major role as Jung Oh Je in Moments at Eighteen. In the same year, Moon Bin hosted the second season of The Ultimate Watchlist alongside Oh My Girl's JiHo and Kim Ye-won.
In November 2019 He went on hiatus due to Health issue during the promotional period of Blue Flame
Moon Bin and Yoon Sanha debuted as MC for Show Champion for the first time on 03rd March 2020
In March 2020 Moonbin took a main role In a Web drama named “Mermaid Prince”.
On 14th Sept 2020, he and Yoon Sanha will make their debut as an ASTRO's sub-unit with album "IN-OUT".[3]
