Moroccan fir

The Moroccan fir or the Rif fir-tree *(Abies pinsapo marocana)* is an evergreen, coniferous shrub or tree to around 30m tall with a trunk that can be twisted and leathery, with dull grey-green or blue-green needles. Male cones open dark brown, turning to cherry red, and female cones open dark green-purple, turning to light or dark brown.
