Mortmar is an unincorporated community in Riverside County, California.[1] It lies at an elevation of -197 feet (-60 m).[1] Mortmar is located on the Yuma Subdivision of the Union Pacific Railroad, 22 miles (35.4 km) southeast of Indio.[2]
Mortmar was originally located about 4 miles to the northwest of its present site, and relocated after that site was inundated by the Salton Sea.[2]
