Motrac Industries was founded in 1954 by J.H. op 't Veld under the name Motrac.[2]

In 1955, Motrac Hydraulics was established, followed by the company becoming an importer of Linde Hydraulics in 1959.

In the following decades, Motrac expanded its activities to Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. In 2015, the company acquired IMAV Hydraulics,[3] followed by the acquisition of Hydromarine in 2016.[4]

In 2018, the commercial name was changed to Motrac Industries,[5] and the company expanded its activities into electrical drive technology.[6]

After years of being headquartered in Baak, the company moved to a new facility in Zutphen in 2021,[7] where logistics and service facilities were further expanded in 2023. In 2024, Motrac Industries was acquired by Anders Invest.[8]
