Mounting Systems GmbH is a German producer of installation systems for photovoltaic (solar power) systems.[1] The company was founded Dahlewitz, in the proximity of Berlin in 1993 and is headquartered in Berlin and Rangsdorf, Germany, in latter of which also the production of installation systems takes place. Furthermore, the company has offices in Saint Petersburg, Russia and Cologne, Germany. The product range includes on-roof, flat-roof, in-roof and outdoor ground-mounted systems as well as carports.[2]

One of the best-known projects of the company is the so-called Benban Solar Park in Egypt. It is Egypt’s and at the time of completion also the world’s largest solar park, which provides electricity for more than 20.000 local households.[3] The project was carried out in cooperation with another German company ib vogt GmbH.

The headquarters of the Mounting Systems GmbH is located in Berlin and Rangsdorf, Germany. A third office is located in Cologne, Germany, and an additional sales office in Saint Petersburg.

Company History[edit]

The company was founded in 1993 in the village of Dahlewitz, in the proximity of Berlin, Germany. In 2004, a new 1.000 m2 production facility took place in Rangsdorf, which was expanded to 17.000 m2 in 2011. In 2014, the company was acquired by Northwest Industrie Group GmbH, which is a subdivision of the Zech Group.[4] Until 2013, Mounting Systems was a part of the German solar company Conergy AG.[5] In September 2008, Mounting Systems separated from Conergy AG to become an individual enterprise.[6]

Business Divisions[edit]

The company is divided into two main divisions: distribution and projects. The distribution division of the company is focusing on wholesaler customers, whereas the project division on the EPC and IPP customers.[7]

Awards[edit]

In October 2010, Potsdam Chamber of Commerce (IHK) recognized the company with the CAI – the IHK Potsdam prize for businesses – in the category of growth.[8] Furthermore, the IHK awarded the company as “Recognized Training Company” in 2013.[9] In 2018, the company was awarded with the German Brand Award.[10]
