Muhammad Khan (14 September 1980) is a journalist and entrepreneur of Bangladesh. He has received the National ICT Award for the year 2017, for his special contribution in ICT journalism.[1][2][3] [4]
Early life
Khan was born on September 14, 1980 in Jhenaidah district. His paternal home is in the village Charipara of Bhagyakul union under Sreenagar Upazila of Munshiganj District. His father's name is Md. Sirajul Islam Khan and his mother's name is Halima Khatun. He is the youngest of three sisters and one brother.
Education
Muhammad Khan passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 1995 from BHL High School, Munshiganj and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College. In 1997 he completed graduation and post-graduation from University of Dhaka.
Work
He started working as a contributor in the daily Ajker Kagoj in 1999. In March 2001, he started his career as a sub-editor and in-charge of the newspaper. From March 2005 to October 2006, he worked as in-charge of the ICT page at The daily Jai Jai Din. From November 2006 to June 2009, he worked as a senior sub-editor and in-charge of the ICT page of bdnews24.com. At present, he works as Assistant Feature Editor and ICT and telecom page in charge of The Daily Kaler Kantho.[5]
Organization
Khan was the founder member and president of Bangladesh ICT Journalist Forum (BIJF). This is the only ICT journalist organization of Bangladesh.[6]
Personal life
Khan is married to Engineer Sabera Sadat Shurovi. They have a daughter, Manha.
